Getting Started

When getting started, you should take a moment to think about your personal priorities and your lifestyle. What type and size of home do you have? How many people live with you? What is your regular flow of activities? Do you have a housekeeper? And most importantly, how can you make sure to leave time for yourself, as well as family and friends, so that you can enjoy your home rather than stress out over maintaining it?

Once you answer these types of questions, you will be able to develop a cleaning and organization schedule that best suits your needs. To get started, you will need certain supplies and products, but don't despair! There are many options to choose from out there and you are certain to find them at various prices. Here are some of the basics we recommend.

Remember!

  • We recommend that you use separate sets of cleaning cloths and equipment for the different areas of your home. For example, never use the cloths that you use to clean either the kitchen or bathrooms in other areas of your home. This is an important way to eliminate the transfer of germs and bacteria.
  • When purchasing products, always follow the manufacturer's recommendations.
  • PH neutral products should be used for marble, granite and other stone surfaces.
  • Use dishwashing liquid soap in the kitchen and bathrooms to clean areas and items that may come in contact with either food or your skin.
